Smart rings got one thing right. Nobody wants to charge a watch every night or be buzzed at through dinner. But they left the numbers in an app, so every glance became a phone check.
Kalio puts a small colour screen into the band. Tap it and the time, your steps, heart rate, blood oxygen or last night's sleep is right there on your hand. Then it goes dark again.
It lasts up to 11 days on a charge, 2 to 3 months with the case, and it is water resistant to 50 m. It is a ring first and a gadget second.
